HUBZone Program
Pololei meets all HUBZone eligibility criteria and affiliation rules for Small Business and NHOs.
The SBA’s HUBZone program allows Kīkaha to support US Federal public-sector organizations utilizing various contract vehicle options. As a HUBZone set aside company, Pololei offers a significant procurement advantage to current and new customers through Sole Source awards. When the contracting officer deems appropriate, a Sole Source can be made to HUBZone firms for contracts up to $7 million for manufacturing requirements or $4 million for all other requirements. What is the HUBZone Program? (source: www.sba.gov)
The Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone) program was enacted into law as part of the Small Business Reauthorization Act of 1997. The program encourages economic development in historically underutilized business zones - "HUBZones" - through the establishment of preferences. SBA's HUBZone program is in line with the efforts of both the Administration and Congress to promote economic development and employment growth in distressed areas by providing access to more federal contracting opportunities.
